Dane County has approved increases to certain dog license fees for 2026–2028. Because these fees are set at the county and state level, the Village must adjust its fees to match.
Beginning with the 2026 licensing year, the following categories will increase by $2 each year through 2028:
- Un-spayed or un-neutered dogs
- Un-spayed or un-neutered puppies
- Multiple dog (kennel) licenses
- Additional kennel tags (over 12 dogs)
These updates help keep our licensing program aligned with county requirements and ensure continued support for animal welfare and public safety.
