At the March 18, 2026 Village Board meeting, staff presented an overview of planned off-site improvements related to the Amazon development, including key construction phases and anticipated road impacts. The information presented was current as of March 3 and subject to change.  Construction is expected to start Late March/Early April. 

There are four planned construction phases: 

• Stage 1 and 2, Full closure of CTH TT - Timeline is 2 to 2.5 months
• Stage 3, Full closure of CTH N - Approximate start on June 15 with completion mid-September, Dane County also reconstructing Koshkonong Creek Bridge separate from this project.
• Stage 4, Roundabout Surface Paving - Timeline is to be determined. This will include potential flagging operations.

Interstate ramp work and pavement markings will happen near the end of Stage 3. 

All local residents, businesses, and emergency services will have full access during road closures. 

Park and Ride will be accessible throughout construction.

A cross-connection is any actual or potential link between the public water supply and a source of contamination. One of the most common examples? A simple garden hose often used with chemicals, fertilizers, or other potentially harmful substances.

Other cross-connections can include:

• Boilers
• Pressure washers
• Toilets
• Pools
• Lawn irrigation systems

To keep our water safe, Wisconsin Administrative Code (NR 810.15) requires all municipal water systems to maintain a Cross-Connection Control Program to eliminate risks and prevent contamination.

Our Village partners with HydroCorp to manage this program and ensure our water system remains clean, safe, and reliable for everyone.

Starting in May, the current playground at Bakken Park is scheduled for removal, and construction on a new inclusive playground for all abilities will begin. Construction will take place through Labor Day. Due to the construction schedule, the playground and areas immediately around the playground will be unavailable. The splashpad, shelter, soccer fields, and restrooms will be open normal hours during construction.  Learn more and stay up to date on the project through the Village website.
