The Village of Cottage Grove has an immediate opening for a full-time Public Works Technician with the Public Works & Utilities Department.
This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks related to public works and water/sewer utilities. Responsibilities include street and sidewalk maintenance, snow plowing, building/grounds maintenance, and operations associated with sewer, water, and storm water (e.g., water testing, sewer maintenance/inspections).
Work hours are 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend work and occasional overtime.
Starting salary range is $26.50 to $29 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience, with excellent Village benefits. Candidates with an existing Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B upon hire are eligible for a $2,500 bonus.
