Re:  West Oak Street - Public Information Meeting

Dear Resident,

The Village of Cottage Grove will hold a public information meeting regarding proposed improvements to West Oak Street in 2022, from Westlawn Drive to North Main Street.  The informational meeting will be held virtually via Zoom on Tuesday February 8, 2022, starting at 6:00pm.  Please use the following link to access the virtual meeting or visit the Village website for this link:

Passcode: 221

Strand Associates is under contract with the Village to complete design for the proposed improvements and will assist the Village by presenting the proposed improvements on February 8th.   The proposed improvements consist of decreasing the width of West Oak Street from Westlawn Drive to North Main Street, repaving the street with new asphalt and providing a new multi-use asphalt path on the southside of West Oak Street.  New concrete curb and gutter and driveway aprons will be replaced on the southside of West Oak Street.  The existing curb and driveways on the northside of West Oak Street will remain in place, with improvements to the existing sidewalk ramps to meet current ADA Standards.  With the present proposed design, no trees are to be removed and the proposed road and multi-use path will generally remain within the footprint of existing West Oak Street pavement area.  At the completion of the presentation there will be time allotted to formally answer any questions you may have.

Please feel free to contact me at jlarson@village.cottage-grove.wi.us, or by phone at 608-839-5813 with any questions you may have.

Respectfully,
