The Greater Madison Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is developing a new Dane County Active Transportation Plan - a roadmap for making it safer, easier, and more enjoyable to walk, bike, and roll (including with wheelchairs and other mobility devices) throughout the region.
As part of this effort, they're inviting community members to take a short survey. Your feedback will help prioritize projects and strategies that make walking, biking, and rolling better options for everyone. The survey is available in English and Spanish. If you prefer another language, you can also complete it by phone by calling (608) 266-4336.
The MPO has also created an online commenting map where you can share specific feedback, like areas with barriers or safety concerns, or places that work really well and should be replicated elsewhere.
The Village of Cottage Grove will also be developing an Active Transportation Plan specific to our community thanks to a grant received through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program. Watch for additional details on public engagement soon.
