Early in 2022, Chief of Police Layber announced his intention to retire at the end of 2022. To that end, the Police Commission has been conducting a search for a new Chief of Police.
On Thursday, October 27th, the Village would like to invite community members to a reception at Village Hall to meet, interact with and hear from the Chief of Police finalists. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit written questions to candidates that may be used during a Q&A forum. The Village will release information regarding the finalists once they're determined by the Police Commission.
