The Village of Cottage Grove seeks qualified applicants for the position of Utility Clerk in the Public Works & Utilities Department. Employees in this position perform work in the preparation of customer bills, keep records of customer charges and payments, perform a wide variety of data entry duties, collection of money and various general office procedures. The Utility Clerk serves as the primary contact for customer inquiries for the Village Water & Sewer Utilities and Public Works Department. The Utility Clerk works at the direction of the Director of Public Works & Utilities and the Village Treasurer. Work hours are typically Monday – Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm but may vary depending on Department needs and staffing levels. Regular attendance at evening meetings is also required.
