This meeting will take place in person at Municipal Services Building 210 Progress Drive, Ste 2, Cottage Grove, WI 53527. You may also choose to participate by providing public comment prior to the meeting via email to Village Clerk Lisa Kalata: lkalata@village.cottage-grove.wi.us.   1. Discuss the previous resignation of Tracy Phillippi from 12/29/22 and subsequent appointment of Meaghan Swanson to the Library Board on 01/3/23.
  2. Discuss and consider the hiring of Tracy Phillippi as the “Library Programming and Outreach Specialist” per Agreement for Services.
  3. Discuss and consider the FAQ document.
  4. Discuss and consider approval of the “Timeline”.
  5. Discuss and consider approval of the Library Board Logo.
  6. Discuss and consider appointing Stefan Wahe, David Peterson, Cindi Kelm-Nelson to Policy Committee.

Future Meetings:

  1. February: Wednesday 2/15 6pm VH & zoom (Librarian Panel)
  2. March: Wednesday 3/15 6pm VH & zoom

 

Future Events: 

StoryTime - Join McFarland Public Library's Ms. Heather for an hour of stories, songs, rhymes and movement.  Shorter books are selected for younger children but all ages are welcome to join. Storytime will take place the first Friday of the month beginning on 2/3 at Monona Bank in Cottage Grove. 9:30 am - 10:30 am. No registration is required. 

 

Zumbini - This program is designed to foster learning and bonding through music and movement for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Zumbini will take place the third Friday of the month beginning on 2/17 at Monona Bank in Cottage Grove. 9:30 am - 10:30 am. No registration is required. 


Welcoming Schools National Day of Reading - Cottage Grove will join with communities across the country to celebrate transgender and non-binary youth through inclusive stories and crafts. 
National Day of Reading will take place in the Taylor Prairie School cafeteria on 2/16. 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. All are welcome, No registration is required.

This agenda has been prepared by Staff and approved by the Chair of the Library Board for use at the meeting as listed above.  Any item on the agenda is subject to final action.  Notice:  Persons needing special accommodations should call 608-839-4704 at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.  It is possible that members of and possibly a quorum of members of other governmental bodies may be in attendance at the above stated meeting to gather information; no action will be taken by any governmental body at the above-stated meeting other than the governmental body specifically referred to above in this notice.
