The Village of Cottage Grove Public Works Department exists to provide, control, and maintain reliable and cost-effective public works facilities and systems in a manner that emphasizes customer satisfaction, public service, and the long-term best interest of the community.

Glacial Drumlin Bike Path Project - 2021


The Village of Cottage will be extending the Glacial Drumlin Bike Path from the trailhead on Main Street to the western limits of the Village, terminating at Bakken Park where is awaits the completion of a Dane County project to connect Cottage Grove and Madison. The project will be completed in the summer of 2021.

Leak Credit Policy and Leak Credit Application


The Village of Cottage Grove Leak Credit Policy is intended to address high use utility bills that are caused by water pipe breaks or failures. Click here to view the entire Leak Credit Policy. To apply for a Leak Credit, please fill out the Leak Credit Application.

2022 Brush Collection

 
The next brush collection will occur the week of November 1, 2022. Residents must have brush to the curb by Tuesday, November 1 at 6:00 am to ensure pickup that week.  **Please note that this will be the last brush collection of 2022**

2022 Compost Drop Off


The compost drop-off site (for leaves & grass clippings) located at 225 Bonnie Road is open for the 2022 season. Compost site information.

Please remember, the Village of Cottage Grove does not offer curbside pickup of leaves.

**IMPORTANT**Please do not dispose of fire pit ashes in the compost area.
